Pro Tips

  • Keep ALL originals in your carry-on backpack. Never check documents in your luggage.
  • Make 5-7 photocopies of each critical document. Scatter them across carry-on and checked bags.
  • Digital backup: Scan all documents and store in cloud (Google Drive, OneDrive) + email to yourself
  • Get documents notarized in India if they're older than 6 months (many universities require this)

Country-Specific Notes

USA

  • I-20 form is critical — don't lose it. Make 5 copies.
  • Social Security Number application form (can be submitted on arrival)

UK

  • BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) will be issued at airport. Keep it safe.
  • TB test certificate must be from a certified clinic

Canada

  • Study permit validation: Bring passport + LOA + proof of funds
  • GIC receipt (if applicable) — MUST be in carry-on

Australia

  • CoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) must be presented at airport
  • eVisa reference number should be saved on your phone
